Catholic Young Adults (South Shore)
Michael Abi-Kheirs, a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth, MA, has started a group called Catholic Young Adults (South Shore) under the guidance of Fr. Chris Hickey of St. Mary's in Hanover. Seeing the need for a faith community gap with young adults in their 20's and 30's, Michael would like the group to focus on:
Social and fellowship gatherings
Bible Study nights
In general, fostering an "outlet" for our Catholic community for young adults who are interested in meeting like-minded and faithful Catholics in the area. He created the group on a popular and safe networking website at his own expense called Meetup.com. The link is http://catholic.meetup.com/365. Click on the link to see upcoming events.
He also created a regional website called "Catholic Young Adults of Massachusetts" (www.cyaom.org) is a directory of young adult groups and bible studies in the state. This website is a work in progress but will give you information you need!
